The Friends of the Elgin Public Library
The Annual Book Sale is on! Stop by the library on April 8, 9, and 10 to browse and purchase from a huge selection of used books, audios, DVDs, puzzles, games, and more! See hours on the left of the page. All proceeds go to the Friends for the purchase of new books and materials for the Elgin Public Library.
The Friends of the Library is a fundraising and service group whose objective is to promote and raise funds for the library in order to buy books and materials for patron use. They hold many fundraisers each year including a Bake and Harvest Sale in October, a Cookie and Candy Extravaganza in December, and a large used Book Sale in February. Volunteers from the Friends help in many ways, including helping with programs and assisting in the upkeep of the building.
